HPA Hi-Capa Spare Parts: Your Weekend Event Kit

First multi-day event with your HPA Hi-Capa? An r/Speedsoft player asked "Tips to have the hicapa survive first weekend event?" before traveling, with an M4 rifle along as backup. Here's a realistic HPA Hi-Capa spare parts bag, with what we sell and what players actually break.

What HPA Hi-Capa spare parts should I bring?

Start with the adapter parts, because they're cheap. Our current spares:

  • Gen 4 Adapter O-ring, $2.99
  • Gen 4 adapter screw, $2.99. It's "longer than the stock screw that is normally used to assemble a standard Hi-Capa magazine."
  • Universal adapter feed tube, $5.00, for "our Hicapa and Glock adapters"
  • M4 Magazine Release, Gen 4, CNC machined aluminum, from $9.99

Throw in a 2.5mm hex key, since our Hi-Capa adapter page says the screw "has a 2.5mm hex head." The O-ring, screw and mag release pages say they're for the Gen 4 injection molded adapter.

What do players break most?

Player report: the top reply in that thread said to pack a spare nozzle and nozzle spring. Cracked nozzles are "probably the most common issue," and worn nozzle springs cause annoying inconsistencies. The same player suggested spare mag feed lips or a gas router.

In r/Speedsoft's "What spare parts should I have," an HPA player said the slide matters less if you're short-stroked, but to add lube to the list.

What about screws walking out?

Player report: one player said several screws disappeared the first time his build saw serious use, because he hadn't used threadlocker. That was a pistol build. Our product pages say nothing about threadlocker on the adapter screw.

Air stuff?

Player report: an r/Speedsoft "HPA advice" thread recommends a second line and knowing how to swap fittings, because people do blow lines. Player report: the same thread says to keep zip ties in your bag. Your regulator stays on the 0–140 psi low-pressure kind the pages call for, near 120, never over 140.

How do I swap parts fast?

Practice at home. HPA Adapter Feed Tube Replacement Guide and HPA Adapter O-Ring Replacement Guide walk through both. Doing it for the first time on a tailgate at dusk is how the screw ends up in the grass.

Put everything in one labeled pouch. Small parts in a zip bag inside it.
