Because the clearance between the BB and barrel wall is so minimal, low-quality or slightly irregular BBs can cause jams or inconsistent shots. This barrel requires frequent cleaning to maintain reliable performance.

A 6.03mm barrel offers a middle ground between the stock 6.08mm–6.10mm barrels found in many airsoft guns and the ultra-tight 6.01mm option. It still improves air compression over stock barrels while being far more forgiving with BB quality and environmental conditions. Many experienced players actually prefer 6.03mm for its balance of accuracy, reliability, and maintenance ease.
