The most overlooked factor is nozzle length relative to the hop-up chamber. While players obsess over regulator consistency and BB weight, the physical interface between the nozzle tip and the bucking lips dictates the air seal. If the nozzle is too short, it fails to fully engage the bucking, creating a variable air gap that bleeds pressure before the BB accelerates — resulting in FPS spread and double-feeds. If too long, it jams against the bucking, restricting BB feed or damaging the lips.
