Mastering Magazine Compatibility for the KWA

I want to run my KWA MP7 on HPA using an M4 magazine adapter, but I'm confused about which magazines are actually compatible. Do standard M4 AEG magazines work, or do I need specific Gen 2/Gen 3 PMAGs to prevent feeding issues and dry fires?

The short answer: Standard Gen 3 PMAGs (and clones of that geometry) are the gold standard for reliability. While many "standard" M4 AEG magazines will physically lock into a Primary Airsoft MP7 M4 adapter, their follower geometry and spring tension often cause misfeeds or double-feeds in the MP7’s unique feed path.

The KWA MP7 magazine well was designed around a specific feed lip angle and follower height.
