HPA Adapter Compatibility: MP7 vs. MP5 Magazine

No, the magazine gas routes and threading are not standardized between the KWA MP7 and MP5 gas magazine platforms. They use fundamentally different sealing methods and thread specifications, requiring dedicated adapters for each.

KWA MP7 magazines utilize a proprietary gas route geometry with a specific nozzle mating surface and thread pitch designed around the MP7's unique feed lip and gas channel layout. The adapter must align precisely with the MP7's valve orientation to prevent leaks and ensure consistent nozzle engagement.

MP5 gas magazines (commonly VFC, GHK, or similar spec) follow a different standard — typically an M4-style thread pattern (1/8" NPT or M12x1 depending on brand) with a center-mounted gas inlet and a distinct O-ring sealing face. The magwell dimensions and gas port height also differ significantly from the MP7.

Because of these mechanical differences, a single adapter cannot bridge both platforms. You need:

• A KWA MP7-specific HPA adapter for your MP7 magazines
• An MP5-pattern HPA adapter matched to your MP5 magazine brand (VFC, GHK, etc.)
