HPA Adapter Compatibility: Glock 17 vs 18C (P

I want to HPA-tap my Tokyo Marui Glock 17, but the only adapter I see listed is for the Glock 18C / AAP-01. Will that adapter fit my 17, or do I need a different one?

The short answer: no, the Glock 18C/AAP-01 adapter will not fit a Tokyo Marui Glock 17. While they share the "Glock" name, the magazine internal geometry differs significantly.

The TM Glock 17 magazine features a distinct feed lip angle, follower geometry, and baseplate locking lug position compared to the 18C/26/18C-pattern magazines used in the AAP-01. An 18C adapter forces the feed tube into the 17's magazine at the wrong angle, causing misfeeds, double-feeds, or damage to the magazine's feed lips and the adapter's feed tube.

Conversely, the Glock 17 adapter is specific to the TM Glock 17 (and compatible 19/26/34 variants sharing that mag body). It positions the HPA feed tube to align perfectly with the 17's BB channel. If you run a WE or VFC Glock 17, note that those often use 18C-pattern magazines internally; verify your mag baseplate shape before ordering.

Using the correct adapter ensures the nozzle seats flush against the magazine's gas route (or replacement valve) and the feed tube centers over the BB stack. This eliminates the "dead space" that causes velocity inconsistency and the dreaded first-shot flyer.
