How HPA Adapters Changed Airsoft Magazines
Early HPA pistol users had to drill and tap individual gas magazines. Reloading meant disconnecting the air line from the empty mag and reconnecting it to the fresh one. It was slow, expensive, and impractical.
Primary Airsoft introduced a static adapter that stays in the pistol grip. The HPA line never disconnects during play; you just swap M4 mags like you would in an AEG.
This bridged the gap between GBB realism and AEG capacity. Players stopped buying $45 fragile gas mags and switched to $10 polymer M4 mags. Today the adapter ecosystem covers Hi-Capas, AAP-01s, G-series, and gas SMGs.
